Hair Color Importance
I mentioned to a few friends that I was planning on changing my hair color closer to what I am suspecting might be my natural hair color. I haven't seen my natural hair color since 1986 or so I'm not quite sure what it could be. Perhaps I'm even a red head by now? Anyway, the arms went up. The salon owner even called and left me a message warning me not to do it. No way, no one is interested in seeing me in all of my natural beauty. Sooo... here I am a blonde of sorts... still... for the moment anyway. At least I look like Karsten's mother.

Salon people are weird. Don't trust them. They always tell their customers not to do what they want to do... it's happened to Kharis at least twice and once to a friend. (An alternate explanation is that all my friends make horrible hair decisions... but if that's the case we've remained blissfully ignorant) In your case you'd think it could be related to their bias towards encouraging behavior that forces customers to visit more often, but I've seen them do the opposite too. Maybe it absolves them of any disatisfaction with the final result. Do hair stylists have low self-esteem? Or maybe it's because they care so much about hair that their emotions are aways flying from extreme to extreme. Over-worked hair anxiety? I'm open to other suggestions.
Kharis is going back to her natural hair color too for the first time since I met her... I think it's mostly to play down the fact that she's trying to look just like me... I mean, after the suspicious hair color change to brown, and fixing her eyes, and sometimes wearing my coats... it was beginning to get a little creepy.

Interesting idea -- try and look more like your spouse. Think a "crescent 'do" would look good on me too? I don't think my sideburns will grow all that long though.... I have been eyeing Andy's new shoes...

I say do it...why not. You can always change it back if you don't like it, and you'll know that you gave it a shot. That's my vote.
