Jana's Having a Baby FAQ
1. How far along are you?
14 weeks out of 40, so roughly 3 months. This 40 week schedule is complicated because most people think pregnancy is a nine month deal -- or 7 months with my history.
2. Are you going to find out what you're having?
YES!! Of course, I can't imagine why I wouldn't. I want to plan, plan, plan. And we can't think of any good boy names so it would be nice to stop worrying about that if I find out I'm having a girl. I will have the ultrasound at 20 weeks.
3. But what if they tell you you're having a girl and you have a boy?
The ultrasound I will be having is 3-d and color. Not much room for error. Plus I will be in the high-risk category and will probably have more than one ultrasound.
4. If you have another boy will you try for a third baby?
No way. Two is plenty for me.
5. Do doctors think you will deliver early again?
No, the chances are slim. Sorry, no statistics for my analytical readers. The doctors will watch me very carefully this time.
6. How have you been feeling?
Good -- finally. I had a rough couple of months there. I'm still a big hormonal, tired mess. The Mexico trip helped a lot.
7. When is your due date?
August 21st, right before the site freeze at work.
8. Do you plan to quit your job?
No. I am married to an entrepreneur who may need to suddenly start his own business at any moment.
9. Do you want to have a girl this time?
Yes!
10. What do you think you're having?
Here I go jinxing myself. I feel like I'm having a girl but I've convinced myself it will be a boy. Either way I just want a healthy, full-term baby.
