Hotel Swedish

Here I blog from the bed at Swedish Hospital (ugh, dial up). I am so happy to still be pregnant because Thursday night baby Britta almost made her entrance into a cold and sterile world full of bells, tubes, monitors, whistles and all that goes along with life support systems. After being pumped full of drugs the doctors were able to stop the labor and bleeding but they are giving me a 50/50 chance of being pregnant for another week or two. If you pray I hope you can please add us to your prayers.

In the meantime my only job is to stay pregnant. I love being able to call a la carte for a meal or snack at anytime. So far no danger of being hooked on daytime tv. I've had great visitors to keep me company. Finally last night Andy took Karsten home so he could sleep in his own bed again (he's been at my mom's house) and Karsten said, "I'm ready to go back home mommy. You have to stay here? You look sad." Such observations from my little three year old almost brought on the tears when I realized how much this hospital stint turns Karsten's life upside down.
