The 561 Club
I feel close to fame making the 561 uncounted vote list.
I was supicious when 1. I received a provisional ballot letter (which I signed and returned) and 2. the Republican Party called me this weekend to ask who I voted for in the race for govenor.
I'm not sure how to find out why my vote wasn't counted. It is possible I voted on Andy's ballot since we're both absentee voters but that wouldn't explain why his vote counted.
It is possible that I came up with a better looking signature since I registered to vote. We designers have to periodically udpate our signatures to reflect new fashions in typography.
Anyway, according to the Daily KOS, "the decision does not affect the 561 uncounted ballots in King County that were discovered Sunday to have been wrongfully rejected because of mistakes by election workers. Those ballots go to a canvassing board Wednesday for verification." Hopefully this means tomorrow I'll know if my vote counted or not.
