He did it!

Notice how my blog has been rather silent lately? It's because every time I thought about blogging it has been to brag about how well the potty training has been going. Before I can get to the computer something usually goes afoul: pooping in Britta's room, poop falling out of the pooped in pull up, etc, etc. A drastic dad imposed t.v. ban has been in place for days now.

Tonight we had a milestone! We were at cousin Heidi's house visiting the Norwegian cousins in town. Eva noticed Karsten had run into the bathroom but the light was off. I went in to assist. Karsten asked for a pull up. I acted fast and pulled his pants down and popped his bottom on the toilet. He said, "mommy, I'm falling in." I held on to him and the rest is history. I said, "go tell your daddy, he'll be very proud." He ran into the dining room right as the family was about to eat dessert and yelled, "I WENT POO POO IN THE POTTY!!" The Norwegians probably think this is some strange American custom.
