The man is right

Andrej's right, Netflix Recommendations suck. After renting quite a few movies and rating close to 70 I get recommended Raiders of the Lost Ark. I have never watched this movie and have no plans to watch it in the future. The last ten movies I've rented and rated have been children's movies and art house/international flicks. I am wondering if their recommendations are so bad because they are trying to use categories (other than what I rent/rate from) to make recommendations? I have no clue. If they have a "better" recommendation for me they certainly aren't bumping it to the top.

You've never seen Raiders of the Lost Ark?!??!?! WTF? It's one of the greatest movies of all time. Even if you aren't into that genre, it's still a greatly crafted film with a lot of intertextual elements.
