Long lasting effects of karaoke

Last Saturday I went to karaoke and I'm still thinking about it -- probably because I don't get out much. I learned:

1. I don't need to be drunk to make a fool of myself
2. I should be drunk to make a food of myself
3. Several songs have resurfaced into my life. One in particular should have stayed a memory. I just bought .38 Special's "Somebody Like You" from the Apple iTunes store because Becca invoked a memory of us singing this song in college. I was must have been drunk in college because this song really sucks.
3. Bobby Brown needs to make a comeback.
4. "King of Pain" really is a good song, just not with Sting singing it. A (talented) female voice should alter it and sing "Queen of Pain." Strange that a karaoke song could be better than Sting himself.
5. Come on Eileen should not be attempted in karaoke.
6. Don't shout obscenities at a karaoke bar. We almost got kicked out.
7. I shouldn't have talked smack about being able to do the sign language for "You Light Up My Life." That was in second grade afterall.

Ohhhh Jana...I wish I was there!!! Where did you go?! (was it Jalisco's?!) Did you sing/sign "You light up my Life"?!!! I kind of remember the sign for 'to carry on'...something like you make a fist and then roll it along like a wave or something. Hmmm...I wish I could have seen that!

Re: Queen of Pain, Alanis Morrisette has a version of King of Pain on her unplugged album where she changed the lyrics to "Queen of Pain":

Seems like there was another equally heinous song we were trying to recall...REO Speedwagon? Where is BARB when you need her/it!?!?!?

"Freebird!"
