Memory Card Full
The first day back to preschool all the moms had their cameras ready for the obligatory first day photos. I had Karsten stand by Teacher Linda and all of the other students so I could snap a photo. The kids and teacher were all smiles and then in a surprise move, Karsten turned to Mark, the kid next to him, and gave him the biggest bear hug. Snap. What a great photo opp falling into my hands for my scrapbooking obsession. MEMORY CARD FULL. The moment passes before I can find a less important photo to delete. I have a blog to document it but no photo for proof, only a few awed moms to back my story up. Mark's mom turned to Karsten and said, "we're going to have to invite you over to play." Go Karsten, for winning the hearts of the preschool moms.
The end of the first week didn't go as smoothly. Karsten came home looking like he'd just had a knock out fight. (Sometimes I take some dramatic liberties for the sake of readership.) He made the wrong move of walking in front of the swing when his girlfriend Emmie was swinging. Smack, a foot right to his lower lip. I know he must have howled after that one. The ice cream shop wedding could be off after two years of planning.
