Funny Business
I'm always intrigued by interesting business ideas and coming to Amsterdam I've seen a plethora.Browserie: a cafe where everything is for sale. Like the table you're eating at? Buy it with your appeltaart.
Handbag rental: Rent a purse for a month or 2 weeks. See www.baghabits.com. Is this an expat thing? I don't know.
Cake store: On my list of things to visit. A eatery with a cake on every table waiting to be decorated. This is probably my most favorite idea. I envision this one coming to America much like the "Build-A-Bear" store in the malls.
Febo: These sandwich stores are everywhere. Buy your sandwich from a coin operated box. My idea is to make an upscale version with foo foo lunch boxes like Briazz. Populate un-manned little locker boxes around Seattle with self serve sandwich kits. Coin operated businesses are great for hiding income from the IRS (so I've heard).

Ah, the FEBO kipburger. I'm already getting hungry. My favorite, however, was the satekroket. But I still have no idea what is in that thing (and am probably better off staying that way).

The Febo thing is just like the old Automats from the 1920s. Those are so post-modern.
