Just when I thought Garfield was bad...
My son has morphed into R2D2. I know we all think R2D2 is just too cute and all but let me tell you, he doesn't speak English. Kar...
{break to check on Karsten calling from his bed}
I'm back. Karsten broke out of droid beeping to tell me that the crabs were crawling out of the toilet and pinching his toes in bed. I remembered being freaked out after visiting the Woodland Park Zoo as a child that spiders were crawling up my bed at night to get my toes too so he got lots of sympathy from me. I let him check out the inside of his bed and then sleep on top of his covers.
Next Karsten had a story to tell me. "There were 3 pigs building a rocket ship. They went into their daddy's garage to get the wheels." (mumble, mumble... end of story).
Then Karsten woes me with "Good night my cutie pie, Mommy." I much prefer my English speaking boy over the droid that had temporarily embodied him.

childhood fears are funny sometimes. not too long ago, aaron was having trouble falling asleep and said "i'm scared. the train's going to eat me!"
