Passing away online

Wes' cousin, Charlie died in a car accident on Sunday. Major condolences are going out to Wes and his family. I met Charlie on my first design job back in the 90s.

I checked out Charlie's myspace and his friends are all mouring cyberspace style. Even dying has changed with the social network scene. I think this is great. It gives people a place to come together besides just meeting at a funeral. I noticed this was happening during the Capitol Hill Massacre last spring too. Unfortunately I can't find the Myspace link for that anymore... but it was too sad anyway.

Rest in peace Charlie. Live on in cyberspace.

After thought: Just thinking how strange it is to have an interactive obituary on Myspace. That site drives me crazy. I must be too old or something but the user experience is terrible.

You're too old AND you're an experienced and accomplished web designer. Your odds of liking MySpace are congruent to the Stuffy Dean liking the antics of Crazy Frat House in a college movie from the Eighties.
