First day of summer vacation
Today was the first official day of summer break. By 4pm I wasn't sure we'd be able to make it together as a family until fall. Between the hours of noon and 4pm Karsten sprayed suntan lotion around my bathroom and bedroom and colored his face and arms with a marker. At that point I took him outside and he proceeded to squirt cars with his super soaker squirt gun and then he squirted some people walking by. We were both going bonkers. I suggested a walk. He wanted a snack first.
Over a plate of nachos he said, "Mommy, I love you more than the blue in the sky. Mommy I love you even more than the sunshine." At that point I knew we'll make it through the summer.
Anyone want a six year old kid to come over and play?
