Picnik test

Picnik test
Originally uploaded by B-TownMom.
I finally checked out this new online app called picnik.com. Sure I could do the same thing in photoshop but let me tell you, picnik makes it easy. And fun.

I had to take a screenshot of this example because the fancy filters are for premium account. I'll be investigating the premium account.

Here's the original photo so you can see how much I changed it.
Update
Turns out the premium account is free right now. I just didn't hit the "share" tab to discover this until after I'd written this post.

I am not sure I like the new filtered shot... I like the original better. Mostly because the focus was already shockingly bright and the overexposure that was put on the edited version just takes it way over the top into the painful range. The surreal colors on the boats is interesting but the focus is not comfortable.

Andy didn't really like it either. I like the surrealness of it. Andy said he would have put a thought bubble on the seagull's head instead.

What the hell are you talking about?! :-) Thought bubbles out of seagull's heads?? That's a brilliant idea... wish i would have thought of it! BTW - I like the photo more with the text "Seattle" - like a postcard. I think it would look good on our livingroom wall.
