My original puppies

My original boys

Here's a photo I justed edited on picnik.com.

This is back in the day when my dog Lupe could get air under his legs. He could jump and climb stairs with ease. When he stood up his legs didn't buckle under him. He didn't have any "accidents" when he woke up in the morning and couldn't make it outside quickly enough.

It's tough times watching my first born grow old. This photo is from a trip we took to Mexico in 1994. I had never had a dog before but figured if I was going to be spending a few months on the beach while Andy windsurfed it might be nice for some companionship. Lupe has been the most easy-going companion I've ever had!

Don't go thinking this is a "goodbye Lupe" post because there's one thing I've learned about this geriatric dog is to never underestimate his desire to keep on truckin'.

Also, if you look really closely you can see Andy still had a fair amount of hair here. Yep, these are my original puppies.

From memory lane

Christine emailed us this photo of one of our favorite characters we met while traveling throughout Baja in the 90's. Turns out he's still hanging out there in this millenium because Christine met him on her trip too.

Hola Pink Car (on right)! If I see him again I will need to thank him for his endless culinary tricks I am still using (i.e. you don't need to heat spaghetti sauce and you can make margaritas from almost anything in your cooler.)

Happy Valentine's Day

Image(04)b.jpg

It is Saturday night at 10:30pm and instead of a romantic evening with the hubby eating Thai food and watching a movie I rented, hubby is crashed out on the bed and I'm blogging. That is okay though, because we just got back from a 5 day long valentine celebration in Mexico. As soon as we stepped off the plane and into the cold rain it was pretty much over. I look at my tan (maybe not that tan, but tan for me) face in the mirror and remember "oh yeah, I was in Mexico yesterday."

I can highly recommend this place as the best place I have ever visited. Andy was sold upon arrival with two shots of tequila and a mini-pool waiting for us in our room.
